Vietnam revolution in Le Ba Dang’s pictures

50 pictures and statues reflecting the resistance in Vietnam, by French artist of Vietnam origin Le Ba Dang, were put on display at the Vietnam Revolution Museum in Hanoi on April 28th.
Artist Le Ba Dang was born in 1921 in Bich La Dong Village in QuangTriProvince and settled and worked in Marseille, France since 1939.
After 60 years working in the arts, Le Ba Dang has obtained several international prestigious awards and medals, such as “Artist with great talent and humanity” award by the USA, “Arts and Cultural Medal” in 1994 by France and “Honour Vietnam Nation” title in 2005 and his works have been displayed in international cultural centres in France, Germany, Britain, Japan and the USA.
The displayed pictures this time, of various materials, reflect the Vietnamese people’s heroism and determination to liberate the country from foreign invasion, through the legendary Ho Chi Minh trail and the beautiful rice fields of his native land of Quang Tri Province.
After the exhibition, he will hand over some works to the Vietnam Revolution Museum.
